Walled Lake Middle School dance team shines at Nationals

The Walled Lake Middle School dance team brought home some hardware after competing at its first ever UDA National Championship at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports in Florida.

In just its third year as a program, the ladies advanced to the finals and finished 6th in the nation with their junior high jazz routine.

“At the ages of 11-13, the determination, grit, and push to be better is impressive beyond measure,” said head coach Jordyn Salerno. “Their success was not luck, it was their persistence toward a goal that all were committed to.”
