Kristin Froning will lead Wixom Elementary School as interim principal

The Walled Lake Consolidated Schools administration appointed Kristin Froning as Wixom Elementary’s interim principal.

Froning retired at the end of the 2023-24 school year after 31 years working within Walled Lake Consolidated Schools. She most recently served as the principal at Oakley Park Elementary for the past 14 years. In the fall, she also stepped in as interim principal at Dublin Elementary for a month before Patricia Karban started her new position in mid-January.

“I know Wixom is a strong school community with an excellent staff, supportive families, and amazing students, and I look forward to working together,” said Froning. “I committed to providing the support to ensure Wixom continues to be a nurturing place for students while promoting academic excellence.”
