Ann Moore receives Betty Campion Award
Walnut Creek Middle school responsibility room paraeducator, Ann Moore, has been selected as Walled Lake Consolidated Schools’ Betty Campion Distinguished Support Service Award winner for the 2023-24 school year.
Moore was nominated by Walnut Creek principal, Seth Taboh, for being incredibly dedicated and working tirelessly each day to support and mentor students.
“Mrs. Moore has an incredibly positive attitude that inspires everyone around her,” said Taboh. “She is committed to every child she engages with, and she treats them with respect and compassion.”
“Mrs. Moore uses data effectively to support meaningful restorative reflection through her role as responsibility room paraeducator,” continued Taboh. “She has a huge impact on the students she interacts with, as she helps them overcome their challenges and grow as learners and individuals.”
Moore will represent Walled Lake Consolidated Schools in the Oakland Schools Education Foundation’s Support Person of the Year awards contest during the spring.
